Renters show increased interest for Arizona

Rentcafe.com’s Rental Activity Report for June, based on available units and millions of hits by potential tenants seeking housing in the top 150 markets in the country, shows Chandler and Glendale the most popular cities in Arizona—and at number 26 and 27 nationally—with Phoenix climbing to third and number 36 in the U.S. The next three hottest cities in the state were Scottsdale, Mesa and Tucson, which also showed impressive jumps in the national rankings to number 46, 57 and 76, respectively. Also, four out of 10 cities—Chandler, Glendale, Phoenix and Scottsdale, saw an increase in regional ranking, and Scottsdale saw a 16 percent year-over-year decline in units offered, indicating strong demand.
