Rents dip in Phoenix and most Valley cities. What tenants need to know

While rents fell only 0.2 percent nationally in September, they sunk 1 percent in Phoenix
last month and also dipped in eight other Valley cities, and they’ve been flat for six
months. However, that doesn’t mean the rental market will go bust: High mortgage
rates, a constant influx of population due to job growth and a lagging housing supply will provide a “tailwind” for the multifamily rental market.
