How do rental homes fit into Buckeye’s housing future? Water loophole could bring more

How do rental homes fit into Buckeye’s housing future? Water loophole could bring more

Build-to-rent homes often don’t need a 100-year assured water supply certificate because they’re built on one lot rather than subdivided lots. So although Katie Hobbs announced that groundwater was off-limits for new single-family development, it doesn’t apply to rentals or industrial uses, which has raised concerns about dwindling supply. Incentivizing recycled water would be one route to help maintain resources but allow for much-needed housing. More multifamily housing also would go far in easing the shortage.
