Tenants Advocating for Tenants Rights and Ability to Organize

The Malibu Apartments Tenants Association and Tucson Tenants Union are actively advocating for the tenants’ rights and the ability to organize in response to the living conditions and management practices at a complex in north Tucson. Missy Arroyo, the Association’s President, initiated the organization out of frustration with the living conditions and perceived inadequate response from management. One example she noted was a lack of air conditioning throughout the summer, despite raising concerns with management. Arroyo remains committed to fighting for the rights of Malibu Apartments tenants even after her imminent move at the end of the month.
