Scottsdale considers creating emergency housing
Like trying to put out a four-alarm fire with a cup of water, Scottsdale is gauging support for a plan to purchase a two-story 6-plex near East McKellips and North Miller roads to convert to short-term “emergency” housing, mainly for seniors and single parents. The city has knocked on about 400 doors and held an open house and says it’s gotten mostly positive feedback, but it hasn’t even begun negotiations with the property owner.
