Pinal County boomtown: Casa Grande builds housing, industry after TSMC lands in Arizona
Even before the semiconductor industry took off in Casa Grande, it was the seventh-fastest growing city in the nation in 2020-21. Now, housing needs are even more urgent, especially since no new apartments had been built for roughly two decades until recently and manufacturing jobs have poured into the area. Close to 1,000 new units will open within the next six months and another 1,000 are in the works, but developers are busy getting even more planning approvals as the city expands.
