Valley Interfaith Project to gather at Arizona Capitol Thursday to push for more affordable housing
Religious congregations are on the front lines of caring for those experiencing homelessness, so housing is becoming a moral issue for them. Roughly 30 Phoenix-area congregations connected with Valley Interfaith Project (VIP) were slated to arrive at the Arizona State Capitol in February to urge lawmakers to pass bills that would yield affordable housing statewide. It specifically wants to see the low-income housing tax credit, which expires at the end of 2025, renewed and expanded.
