Phoenix seeks applicants to turn vacant land into mixed-use development

Midtown Phoenix
Phoenix is asking developers to submit proposals for new commercial and residential infill projects that will bring hundreds of new housing units to the city. At 32 Columbus Ave. in Midtown, it will allow a mixed-use, mixed-income multifamily development of at least 250 units that can rise to 100 feet because it’s zoned under the walkable urban code and transit midtown character area. The city is also looking for developers to put apartments and single-family homes on three sets of properties in the West Sunnyslope and Village Center neighborhoods.
