Phoenix says state is making it harder to solve housing, homelessness
Phoenix leaders said they’re working as hard as they can to address the state’s affordable housing crisis but warned they’ll fight with one hand behind their back in the future because state lawmakers have cut resources.
In response, Arizona’s top lawmakers said Phoenix needed to be more innovative, focus on shrinking government and stop blaming reduced funding for their problems.
The net effect could mean a stagnant or worsened housing and homelessness crisis.
