Phoenix robotics firm delivers first 3D printed homes in less than 60 days

A construction company that moved to Arizona from California is using automation and a small amount of 3D printing to pump out homes in a couple of months for around $300,000. Diamond Age says it’ll help offset 60 percent of the manual labor needed to build a new home, thus skirting the ongoing labor shortage. Homebuyers can’t contract directly with the company, which partners with traditional home builders which have access to the lots. Right now, Diamond Age is producing homes of up to four bedrooms and 1,901 square feet for Century Complete’s Mountain View Estates in Casa Grande.
