New Mixed-Use Development Replacing Tree Nursery in South Phoenix

A 104-acre plot in south Phoenix, formerly a tree nursery, is set to transform into a mixed-use development. The plans encompass a blend of residential and commercial spaces, featuring houses, apartments, and various retail establishments including shops and eateries. The project is a collaborative effort among three landowners, with a significant portion allocated for commercial use spanning 35 acres and an additional 3.5-acre public park. The proposed development comprises 360 apartments, 213 townhomes, and single-family homes. In response to community input, the height of the apartment buildings will be restricted to two stories. Pending approval from the City Council, construction is slated to commence in late 2025.
