Scottsdale Rents are the Highest Compared to Six Arizona Cities

Rent prices in metro Phoenix surpassed the national median of $1,995 per month, highlighting the region’s affordable housing crisis, according to a new Forbes study. Despite these conditions, recent Forbes rankings highlight two Arizona cities among the top 10 in the U.S. for renters, evaluating affordability and availability across 95 cities, including six in metro Phoenix. For instance, Chandler’s rent stands at $2,465 per month, with a 23.4% rent-to-income ratio and a $14 increase from May 2023 to May 2024. Phoenix maintains a rent of $2,100 per month, with a 23.4% rent-to-income ratio but had a $62 rent decrease. At the top end, Scottsdale commands the highest rent at $3,000 per month, with a 23% rent-to-income ratio, with a $295 rent decrease from May 2023 to May 2024.
