How 3 new council members could shape 3 top issues in Gilbert

A trio of newly elected Gilbert council members could make it even more difficult for multifamily developers to get a foothold in the town. Bobbi Buchli and Jim Torgeson are firmly against rezoning away from single-family and commercial, and Chuck Bongiovanni is concerned that the town isn’t doing enough for younger and older people who want to own homes. On a similarly elitist note, all three oppose commuter rail in Gilbert as well.
