Households Priced Out by Higher Interest Rates

The National Association of Home Builders created a table showing how many households would be priced out of the market for a new home costing $425,786 for each basis-point increase in interest rates from 3.5 to 8 percent. According to the NAHB Priced-Out Estimates, 96.5 million households can’t afford a median-priced home.
