 Hobbs says $60 million will ‘start tackling’ homeless crisis in Phoenix

Gov. Katie Hobbs announced in May that about $210 million of the new state budget will be put toward housing and homelessness. Roughly $150 million of that will benefit the Housing Trust Fund, which will be used to finance affordable housing projects, fund shelters, provide rental assistance and prevent evictions.
