Goodyear postpones vote for mixed-use center adjacent to hospital

Goodyear is stalling developers of a mixed-use complex that would include multifamily housing on 40 acres of it because—believe it or not— they say it includes too much housing. Never mind that it’s been in the works for two years, and the council previously only asked for the blessing of the adjacent Cancer Treatment Centers of America hospital, which the developers got. The article says Councilmember Wally Campbell’s “main concern is adding mostly housing to the site,” and other council members “also had concerns about more multifamily units backing up against the freeway.”
