For Property Investors, the Price of Homes Is Still Not Right

The slump in rent prices and higher interest rates are hitting more than the multifamily market as single-family home investors continue to shy away from the high price of real estate. Small and large businesses bought about 570,000 homes in 2023, down from 802,000 in 2022, says national research from real-estate data and analytics firm Parcl Labs. Also, after Realtor.com crunched numbers for the first nine months of last year, it looked like Realtor.com 2023 would see the biggest annual decline in investor buying activity in at least two decades.
