Chandler council approves new Site 7 agreement

Chandler’s city council on Oct. 27 gave the go-ahead to beef up a development that will add 290 apartments, along with office and commercial space, to its downtown. An earlier plan included 126 multifamily housing units, but the developer, Dearborn Partners, known as One Chandler Owner LLC, already owns adjacent land and will buy the additional 1.7 acres to combine the properties and build a single seven-story project. John Owens, a downtown redevelopment specialist, championed the project in a work session, calling it a “more robust project” than the initial proposal.
