Buckeye Community Concerned over Influx of Multifamily Housing

Buckeye’s Copper Falls neighborhood is opposing a major change in their master plan, which now favors multifamily housing over single-family homes and commercial spaces. Originally, the plan allowed for up to 159 single-family homes on the northern 72 acres of the 275-acre site. The new plan could add up to 879 multifamily units while reducing commercial space and eliminating office areas. Residents are concerned about increased crime, traffic, and infrastructure strain, as well as potential impacts on schools and property values.
