As interest in downtown Chandler grows, hundreds of apartments, restaurants planned
Chandler isn’t known for being especially development-friendly in its single-family home neighborhoods, but when it comes to downtown, things are looking up—literally. The vibrant city center is poised to get hundreds of new housing units, with 360 apartments expected to rent by the end of the year. Also, hopes are high that City Council will approve plans for a 7-story mixed-use building—the tallest in downtown so far—at the desirable intersection of Chandler Boulevard and Arizona Avenue within walking distance to all of the downtown businesses.
