Arizona has an affordable housing crisis. Here’s how legislative candidates plan to fix it
Candidates from both parties weigh in on how they’d handle the housing crisis if
elected. State Rep. Steve Kaiser, who’s running for State Senate from LD2, plans to
draft legislation that grew out of the state’s Housing Supply Study Committee this year.
While other candidates want to increase housing as well, they also suggest increasing
the Housing Trust Fund, capping short-term rentals, and legislating rent control.
