Apartment Construction Goes Wild in Metro Phoenix

Apartment construction is up a whopping 90 percent this year in metro Phoenix, which ranks sixth in terms of new development nationwide with roughly 16,000 new units in the works. And nationwide, 420,000 units are in the pipeline. New York City nabs the top spot for apartment creation, and 10 of the top 20 metro areas — including Phoenix — are on pace to hit record highs for deliveries in 2022 compared to each of the last five years.
