AMCF Gives $200k to Local Nonprofits to Advance Affordable Housing and Safety

The Arizona Multihousing Charitable Foundation (AMCF) has announced more than $200,000 in grants to advance affordable housing and bolster community safety statewide. As the philanthropic branch of the Arizona Multihousing Association, AMCF awarded $46,870 each to UMOM New Day Centers and the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center in Phoenix. The Julie Hurst & Steve Peters Education Fund in Phoenix received $7,500. In Tucson, the foundation granted $75,250 to the HSL Center of Opportunity and $29,140 to Interfaith Community Services. Courtney Gilstrap LeVinus, president and CEO of the Arizona Multihousing Association, stated, “These organizations are vital in delivering essential resources and services to Arizonans, particularly in the areas of housing and education.” Since 2005, AMA members have distributed approximately $1.5 million in grants across Arizona.
