 AMCF Gives $200k to Local Nonprofits to Advance Affordable Housing and Safety

The Arizona Multihousing Charitable Foundation (AMCF) has announced more than $200,000 in grants to advance affordable housing and bolster community safety statewide. As the philanthropic branch of the Arizona Multihousing Association, AMCF awarded $46,870 each to UMOM New Day Centers and the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center in Phoenix. The Julie Hurst & Steve Peters Education Fund in Phoenix received $7,500. In Tucson, the foundation granted $75,250 to the HSL Center of Opportunity and $29,140 to Interfaith Community Services. Courtney Gilstrap LeVinus, president and CEO of the Arizona Multihousing Association, stated, ā€œThese organizations are vital in delivering essential resources and services to Arizonans, particularly in the areas of housing and education.ā€ Since 2005, AMA members have distributed approximately $1.5 million in grants across Arizona.
