Ahwatukee Foothills Village Planning Committee to hear update on Upper Canyon

A behemoth residential project in the far eastern reaches of Ahwatukee Foothills is supposed to provide 1,050 single-family and multifamily homes on 373 acres of former State Trust Land. The Ahwatukee Foothills Village Planning Committee was scheduled to hear an update from the developers, Blandford Homes and DR Horton, on Feb. 26. Construction on the project, which will go up along Chandler Boulevard between 19th and 27th avenues, was expected to begin this year but has been pushed back.
