3 projects would bring 856 apartments to Ahwatukee

A whopping 856 apartments should be opening in Ahwatukee in the next couple of years, thanks to two approved developments that make up nearly half of the units and a third that would raze an office complex to add more than 400 luxury units. However, one of the other projects would supply workforce housing: Quinn Holdings is repurposing a former hotel into micro units, studios and one-bedroom units for working professionals, with rates starting at $1,200 a month. This is part of a trend: Permits for multifamily units are at an all-time high in the Valley, with 5,599 units approved in the third quarter of 2022.
