$2 million approved for affordable housing in Goodyear

Dominium

Goodyear is set to add 261 affordable housing units for people ages 55 and up at Loop 303 and Van Buren Street, a retail-rich area with grocery stores. The city is getting $2 million from the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors for the project, which hopes to prevent older adults from becoming unhoused. Suncrest Vista will have an income cap of roughly $51,000 for two seniors, and 10 of the units will be capped at $37,400 for two. Some of the units will be wheelchair-accessible.
